Based in Valparaiso, Indiana, Gulotta Flowers is a tiny family-run business that’s growing a little more every year. At the heart of the team is Desa Gulotta—Megan’s mom and proud grandma to some adorable puppies and Megan’s son Mack—who brings her floral design expertise as the hands-on creator. Megan leads with passion and creativity, while her husband, Zach Wein, handles all of the marketing and general business ideas. Together, they’re deeply committed to their craft and focused on helping every client bring their floral vision to life. They truly love what they do and hope their joy and care shine through in every arrangement.
Who We Are
How I came to the floral industry
For nearly 15 years, I had the honor of photographing weddings—capturing love, laughter, and some of life’s most beautiful, fleeting moments. But over time, I felt a quiet pull toward something new… something that spoke to my heart in a different way. That something was flowers.
I’ve always been drawn to the way florals can express what words sometimes can’t. After working at a local garden nursery and falling even deeper in love with the natural world, I took a leap and traveled to New York, where I spent six weeks immersed in hands-on training at Flower School New York. That experience shaped so much of who I am as a designer today.
Now, with Gulotta Flowers, I get to create arrangements that bring people joy, comfort, and connection. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or just because—seeing someone’s face light up when they receive flowers is the greatest reward.
